Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed physical therapist, ensuring patient safety and quality of care.
  • Effectively document patient treatment in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist with the supervision of staff and department, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Exhibit professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional customer service in all aspects of work, ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and skills to provide high-quality patient care, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
  • Participate in maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or higher in Physical Therapy or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
