Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Operating Room Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, and monitoring patients during and after procedures.
Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for surgery by administering medications, conducting pre-operative assessments, and ensuring proper positioning and equipment.
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgery, adjusting as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including medication administration, vital signs, and surgical procedures.
- Current District of Columbia Nursing License
- American Heart Association BLS
- ACLS
- 2 years of recent relevant nursing experience
- CORN and PALS preferred
