Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CDL Class A Route Driver to join our team. As a CDL Class A Route Driver, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, delivering and/or unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, delivering and/or unloading food and food-related products to customers.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
  • Unload products from the trailer and transport them to designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required and load customer returns onto the trailer.
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL A license.
  • 12 months of commercial driving experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience.
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience.
  • Customer service-related work experience.
