Relocation Support Available

As a key member of the Nuclear Medicine team, you will report directly to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor and be responsible for executing a wide array of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine examinations utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and associated chemical agents. Your role will encompass ensuring high-quality patient care, facilitating efficient patient throughput, and conducting examinations with precision. You will operate and conduct quality assessments of both stationary and portable scintillation devices, including gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration apparatus, and supplementary equipment. Additionally, you will perform PET, Nuclear Medicine, and CT diagnostic evaluations on PET/CT scanners, which includes the administration of CT Contrast Media, image acquisition, and reformatting. You will also be tasked with executing necessary scans and procedures to support scanner qualification for research initiatives. Collaborating with the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor and Medical Director, you will develop and implement study-specific protocols that encompass administration, imaging, and reformatting.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to cultivate and sustain effective working relationships within the healthcare system
  • Capacity to maintain an appropriate work pace relative to workload demands
  • Demonstrated customer service skills suitable for the role
  • In-depth knowledge of state regulatory radiation safety protocols and the principles of ALARA
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine educational program
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English
  • Availability for on-call/call-back service as required
  • A minimum of one year of full-time experience as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
  • Possession of the skills, knowledge, and abilities necessary for successful job performance
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Active State of California CNMT License
  • Current NMTCB and/or AART (N) licensure for Nuclear Medicine
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of full-time experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures.
  • Familiarity with university and medical center structures, policies, procedures, and documentation

Salary: $110,000 to $150,000 per year
