Role Summary:
The Principal Engineer will play a crucial role within the Manufacturing Technical Support team, focusing on the technical guidance and support of routine manufacturing processes for diagnostic products. This position emphasizes continuous improvement and reliability of various manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects related to Filling, Labeling, Packaging, Bulk, HPLC, and Oligosynthesis equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards while optimizing staff and technical resources.
- Foster a high-performance environment for the development and regulation of biological products through data analysis and process understanding.
- Develop and implement technical engineering standards and resolve conflicts within assigned areas.
- Serve as a consultant to management and advance technical project proposals to senior leadership.
- Participate in cross-departmental teams and set performance standards for engineering practices.
- Provide technical reports on project status, budgets, and schedules.
- Support the evaluation of online instruments for monitoring critical attributes and identify optimization opportunities.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Hands-on experience with Filling and Labeling equipment is highly preferred, along with knowledge in automation engineering, HPLC, and Oligosynthesis.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and excellent project management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Proficient problem-solving skills and a keen ability to identify areas for improvement.
- Experience in the Biotech, Pharmaceutical, or Chemical Industry is preferred.
Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this role is $126,500-$190,000 annually, with eligibility for participation in the company bonus pool. Grifols offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
