About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medication Aide to join our team at CHSGa. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of care for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as ordered by physicians, including oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal, and rectal medications.
  • Administer insulin, epinephrine, and B12 under physician direction and clinical guidelines.
  • Use a metered dose inhaler to administer medications as prescribed.
  • Conduct finger stick blood glucose testing according to established clinical guidelines.
  • Administer commercially prepared disposable enemas as ordered by physicians.
  • Document medication administration and declination in resident records, following established clinical guidelines.
  • Report and document any unusual reactions to medications and provide information to residents, their families, and healthcare providers.
  • Properly store and dispose of medications.
  • Provide routine care to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing, as needed.
  • Complete dressing changes for skin alterations as per clinical guidelines and physician orders, reporting changes to licensed nurses as necessary.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Nursing Aide in the State of Georgia.
  • Certified Medication Aide in the State of Georgia.
