Position Overview

As a part-time Associate in our Autism program, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of children aged 2-6 by promoting their health, skill development, and overall well-being in our Autism Childcare Center. Your responsibilities will include providing care and support for children across the autism spectrum, ensuring a nurturing environment tailored to their individual needs.
Benefits and Compensation

This position offers flexible hours with no evening or weekend shifts required. Employees are eligible for a 403(b) retirement plan with an attractive company match, along with tuition discounts at various universities.

The starting pay rate for this role is $14/hour.

Work Schedule Part-time, Monday-Friday from 11am to 2pm (with potential for increased hours over time)
Key Responsibilities Assist children at ChildServe in achieving greater independence and readiness for school. Collaborate effectively with nurses, therapists, and other staff members. Implement aspects of the care plan to meet individual therapy goals. Ensure a safe and consistent environment for care, learning, and play. Adhere to change of shift procedures to maintain communication and continuity of care. Keep accurate, complete, and timely records. Communicate professionally with children, families, licensed professionals, and ChildServe personnel. Perform additional duties as assigned, which may include: diapering and toilet training, feeding, using picture exchange communication systems (PECS), managing emotions and behaviors, and aiding in the retention of preschool skills. Qualifications Preferred: Associate degree in human services or education. Preferred: Experience with children who have special healthcare needs. Must successfully complete the National DCI fingerprint process and background checks prior to employment and every two years thereafter. Must pass a physical examination as required by regulations. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, move around the clinic, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand. Maintain composure in a dynamic environment with varying behaviors and demands. Strong communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking English. This position may be subject to COVID-19 safety protocols, which will be discussed during the interview process.
