Ultrasound Technologist

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a skilled Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist to join our team at our office in Westerville and Columbus, OH.

The Ultrasound/Vascular Technologist will possess a working knowledge of specific tasks and procedures associated with Ultrasonography. This individual will work closely with other Technologists, Physicians, Nursing staff, and Office staff to provide prompt, courteous, and quality care to every patient requiring our services.

• Image patients according to protocols and parameters set forth by department policy or by a Radiologist.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions as needed.
• Archive patient exams on PACS system.
• Troubleshoot minor problems with US unit and PACS system.
• Stay current on new protocols, software changes, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and workable working environment.
• Inform patients of delays or equipment repairs.
• Assist in transporting patients and assist Receptionists and Physicians in finding time slots for routine patients.
• Participate in continuing education and attend staff meetings.

• ARDMS registered.
• Preferred: RVT certification.
• Education, Licensures & Certifications:
  • Completion of course in ultrasound technology and registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Current certification as required by law.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Knowledge of equipment, testing, safety, body mechanics, and patient movement.
  • Knowledge of department computer and phone systems.
  • Skill in properly positioning patients.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Ability to assist patients on and off exam tables.
  • Ability to work on a team and display a positive attitude.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
