This role involves working in a fast-paced environment where you will assess, plan, and implement nursing care to meet the physical and emotional needs of patients. You will also provide direction and supervision to other clinical and clerical associates as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' health status and develop individualized care plans to address their unique needs\Component
  • Provide direct patient care services, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and educating patients and families about disease management and self-care techniques\Component
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments\Component
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and care provided, using electronic medical records (EMRs) systems\Component
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to quality initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction\Component
  • Promote a culture of excellence and respect within the healthcare team by fostering open communication, empathy, and compassion\Component

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

\Component
  • \Component
  • A current Texas State RN License or Compact RN License\Component
  • BLS (American Heart Association)\Component
  • ACLS required at time of hire for experienced RNs. New graduate nurses must obtain ACLS by the end of the clinical orientation period.\Component
  • NIHSS required within 90 days of hire/transfer date\Component
  • De-escalation training required within 90 days of hire/transfer date\Component
  • TNCC required within 6 weeks of hire for experienced RNs. New graduate nurses must obtain TNCC within 18 months of hire/transfer date.\Component
  • PALS required at time of hire for experienced RNs. New graduate nurses must obtain PALS by the end of the clinical orientation period.\Component

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
