Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled CDL-A Driver to join our team at TransForce. As a CDL-A Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting equipment and materials across the country, often requiring loading or unloading as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Logistics
    • Transport goods from place of origin to assigned destination
    • Pick up loads; organize goods in a logical manner
    • Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck
    • Safely and efficiently unload goods
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Safety
    • Perform pre and post DOT inspections; identify and record any safety defects
    • Recommend vehicles be taken out of service as appropriate
    • Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Communicate with team members as needed regarding timely deliveries
    • Obtain required signatures to confirm delivery
    • Confirm contents of shipments match the manifest document(s)
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain detailed driving logs as required
    • Track and report working hours including job numbers
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Valid Class A license required
    • 2+ years' relevant experience with tractor trailer driving preferred
  • Physical and Mental Demands
    • Frequently required to walk, sit, stand, balance, stoop, bend, push, pull, lift, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb stairs/ladders and use of hands
    • Must have vision, hearing, and ability to talk
    • Exposure to hot/cold temperatures
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
