Position Overview:

This role focuses on delivering exceptional service for electric power generation systems, industrial engines, and the petroleum sector. The ideal candidate will have the necessary training and experience to effectively troubleshoot, repair, and perform technical startups for diesel and gas engines, generator sets, transfer switches, and switchgear, while also supporting the oil and gas industry.

Applicants should have relevant expertise in natural gas and diesel engine systems to competently diagnose, repair, and execute technical startups.

Flexibility for after-hours and weekend work is essential to meet customer needs and repair timelines.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently troubleshoot and repair both prime power and standby electrical power systems in various configurations.
  • Possess a solid understanding of automatic start/stop controls, safety shutdowns, switchgear, circuit breakers, and control panel wiring.
  • Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain diesel, gas, and marine engines with proficiency.
  • Execute work on generators and their components under diverse environmental conditions.
  • Safely assemble and disassemble equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Repair and maintain temperature control and air compression systems.
  • Complete service reports accurately and provide detailed documentation for work orders.
  • Meet Department of Transportation physical examination and licensing requirements as mandated by law.
  • Work overtime as necessary and maintain tool requirements.

Physical Requirements:

This position demands overall stamina, including sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Candidates must possess good motor coordination skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Workplace conditions may involve exposure to noise, heat, cold, and other environmental factors.


Qualifications:

Completion of a technical school program, military training, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
