Responsibilities


The Operating Room Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of surgical procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing sterile supplies and instruments for each surgical procedure.
  • Maintaining a sterile environment throughout the operation.
  • Assisting the surgeon by providing necessary sterile instruments and supplies during procedures.


Qualifications


To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Completion of an ORT training program or equivalent on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a surgical setting.
  • Experience in scrubbing for both minor and major surgical procedures across various specialties, including GYN, General, and Plastics.
  • Familiarity with scrubbing in specialty surgical areas such as orthopedics, neurology, ENT, and urology.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintenance of certification.
