Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Database Administrator to join our team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for the administration and oversight of clinical database registries related to general pediatric and subspecialty areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain clinical database registries, ensuring accurate and reliable data entry and inter-rater reliability processes.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to track and document specific outcome measures for trending and decision-making.
  • Communicate with other departments, institutes, and ancillary units to ensure seamless database-related activities.
  • Serve as a liaison for clinical teams, providing data and analytic support for assigned database registries.
  • Complete requests for reports and data abstraction from registries, enabling clinical teams to make informed decisions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate uploads to external databases as required by statute or contract.
  • Forecast and plan for system software changes to maintain optimal database performance.
Requirements
  • BSN with active Florida licensure.
  • 3 years direct patient care nursing experience.
  • Experience with medical record abstraction and database management preferred.
  • Ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe for database-specific certification.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
