Job Description:

Custodian III performs highly complex custodial work at state supported living centers. Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, and inspecting buildings and resident homes, as well as ordering and restocking supplies and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform highly complex custodial work, including cleaning, sanitizing, and inspecting buildings and resident homes
  • Order and restock supplies and equipment
  • Provide backup to other custodians as needed
  • Work under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is generally preferred; experience and education may be substituted for one another
  • At least one (1) year experience in custodial/housekeeping work
  • One (1) year experience working in an environment with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders is preferred

Additional Information:

All State Supported Living Center employees are subject to Random drug testing. Flexibility in work hours may be required for this position. The position may be required to work overtime and/or extended hours. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
