Job Summary

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Med Surg to join our team. As a Travel Nurse RN Med Surg, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Prepare and administer medications, and record prescribed medications.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
  • Initiate corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology.
  • Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients.
  • Initiate patient education plan, as prescribed by physician.
  • Teach patients and significant others how to manage their illness/injury.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a Med Surg Nurse.
  • Epic experience required.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week.
  • Ability to float to all MS units as needed.
