Registered Nurse Lead-Inpatient Border Full Time Nights

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Lead Inpatient Registered Nurse at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management
- Oversee and direct the work of patient care or support techs
- Maintain overall accountability for the care of assigned patients
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Patient Care and Education
- Provide comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and education
- Utilize evidence-based practices to promote patient safety and quality outcomes
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participate in unit huddles and contribute to the development of unit-based quality initiatives
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective patient flow and throughput
- Professional Development and Accountability
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
- Contribute to the development of unit-based policies and procedures
- Hold self and others accountable for delivering high-quality patient care and adhering to organizational standards
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an inpatient setting
- Leadership experience and ability to direct a team of healthcare professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
