Job Overview

The US Credit Analyst role is a key position within our investment team, responsible for covering US leveraged loan issuers primarily within CLO investment vehicles. As a Credit Analyst, you will be an active member of our team, contributing to all aspects of the investment process, including investment origination, underwriting, monitoring, and trade recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify investment opportunities in primary and secondary US leveraged loan markets, utilizing deep credit analysis and relative value assessment
  • Develop detailed cash flow models and gain in-depth knowledge of select industry sectors
  • Monitor ongoing credit and market performance to formulate timely trade recommendations
  • Establish relationships with sell-side analysts and capital markets teams to enhance the investment process

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of financial industry experience, including credit research, leveraged finance, or private equity
  • Strong communication skills combined with excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Deep understanding of leveraged loans and high-yield bonds, including issuers, industries, debt structures, and legal documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and thrive in a flat team-based environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $200,000, exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. Base salary will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including the candidate's qualifications, experience, training, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Polus reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
