About This Role

We're seeking a skilled Meat Associate to join our team at The GIANT Company. As a key member of our meat department, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality products are available to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process meat deliveries, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Weigh, price, and label meat products with precision and accuracy.
  • Stock and rotate meat cases, ensuring a visually appealing display and optimal product freshness.
  • Prepare and package valued-added meat products, such as custom cuts and specialty items.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and suggest relevant items to customers.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, adhering to food safety standards and company policies.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management, including processing cuts for the service counter and special orders.
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending upon business needs
  • Job cycles: continual max
  • Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
  • Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%
  • Category IV: Lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
  • Max pull static: 20 lbs.
