Responsibilities of the LPN Role- Providing Compassionate Nursing Care: Deliver high-quality care to residents in post-acute facilities.
- Monitoring Residents' Conditions: Track residents' physical and mental conditions, and vital signs.
- Documenting Medical Histories: Perform resident intakes, document medical histories, and track health concerns.
- Medication Administration: Help with the administration and proper verification of medications, tracking their use and effects.
- Cultivating a Safe Environment: Maintain a comfortable and safe facility for residents.
- Medical Record Keeping: Track residents' medical records and charts.
- Assisting with Medical Procedures: Assist with the set up of IVs, immunizations, and phlebotomy procedures.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of medical supplies and maintain a proper inventory.
- Accountability and Teamwork: Be accountable for following and adhering to resident care plans, and work with staff in the orientation and training of new colleagues.
