Position Overview

The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of contract documents, project timelines (including sequencing and critical path activities), staffing, project estimates, and coordination of project personnel.
  • Conduct performance assessments for all team members assigned to this role.
  • Develop, implement, manage, and uphold the Safety Program and Site-Specific Safety Plan, adhering to OSHA guidelines to ensure a secure work environment for all personnel involved.
  • Establish, implement, manage, and enforce a Quality Assurance Program that meets the contract specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
  • Oversee ongoing work to ensure compliance with specifications and contract documents.
  • Foster a professional and effective working relationship with owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors associated with the project.
  • Prepare and disseminate Project Daily Reports detailing crew sizes, manpower counts, work performed by area/floor for each trade partner, equipment utilized, weather conditions, construction progress, issues, delays, and verbal directives.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of Critical Path Method and Lean Process Scheduling, applying this knowledge to create, maintain, and update an accurate Project Schedule.
  • Monitor the development of the project expediting log, ensuring staff updates it weekly.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 5 to 8 years of experience as a Superintendent
  • Essential: Experience in Healthcare projects
  • Preferred: Experience in Retail projects
  • OSHA 30 certification or the ability to obtain it within 12 months of employment
  • Experience managing projects valued at $5 million or more
  • In-depth knowledge of all aspects of commercial construction and skilled trades
  • Proficient in field productivity and project management software
  • Intermediate technological proficiency and a positive attitude towards technology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to influence, negotiate, and drive project timelines effectively
