Perfusion Specialist

Penn State Health is seeking an experienced Perfusion Specialist to join our Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) team. As a key member of our perfusion team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex cardiovascular equipment, providing expert care to patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain heart-lung machines, cardiopulmonary support devices, and blood loss management equipment.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes and streamline clinical workflows.
- Graduate of an American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP)-accredited school of perfusion technology.
- Current certification by the ABCP as a Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) or attainment of CCP status within one year of graduation from an ABCP-accredited school of perfusion technology.
- A valid, current license in the State of Pennsylvania or licensure eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Physiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nursing, Perfusion Sciences, or related field.
