Khmer Linguist

We are seeking a highly skilled Khmer linguist to support our National Security Programs. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Khmer language and culture, as well as excellent translation and interpretation skills.

• Translate reports and texts from Khmer to English with high accuracy and nuance
• Interpret Khmer language in various settings, including consecutive and simultaneous interpretation
• Transcribe audio and video materials with high accuracy and expression
• Summarize and abstract complex information from Khmer language sources
• Use computer skills, including MS Office, to produce written translations and products

• BA/BS degree and equivalent formal military training with 8+ years of related work experience
• Excellent English-language written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in Khmer and English
• Strong understanding of Khmer language and culture

• Experience deployed as a linguist supporting contingency operations
• Knowledge of U.S. Intelligence Community, military, cryptologic, and law enforcement experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
