Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Lodi Community Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures using radiation to examine body structures and tissue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform computerized axial tomography (CT) procedures with precision and accuracy.
  • Obtain patient history and clinical data for correlation with exams, and compile exam for reading by radiologist.
  • Critique exam for film quality and proper identification, and document reasons for any variation in procedure.
  • Communicate effectively with patients throughout the exam, and assist patients as needed.
  • Comply with OSHA and hospital infection control policies, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Work independently and respond to calls on various shifts, and keep manager informed of equipment/safety problems.
  • Identify, transport, lift, and position patients for exams, and perform duties of a radiologic technologist as required and qualified.
  • Exercise professional judgment in performance of procedure and patient care, and communicate with referring physician.
  • Evaluate patients for age-appropriate behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms, and assess patients for signs/symptoms of abuse or neglect.
  • Follow safe radiation practices in selection of radiographic techniques and protective shielding to self and patient.
  • Perform receptionist functions and clerical duties, film filing and purging, and control inventory and purchase of supplies as assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness of room, and stock supplies.
  • Perform quality assurance duties as assigned, and complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a formal program of study accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA, or completion of didactic and clinical experience.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in computer tomography within 24 months of appointment.
  • Current Radiology license in the State of Ohio.
  • BLS from AHA.
Physical Requirements

Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time, and must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
