Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Treatment Nurse LVN/RN to join our team at the Austin Retirement and Nursing Center. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of compassion, expertise, and dedication to providing exceptional care to our residents.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in wound care and skincare, with the ability to identify, manage, and treat complex skin conditions. You will be responsible for providing primary skin and wound care to residents, working closely with our medical team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive estimated salary range of $70,000-$90,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. About the Role:
• Identify, manage, and treat specific skin conditions, such as pressure injuries, diabetic, venous, or arterial ulcers, and traumatic or complicated wounds.
• Provide wound care on assigned residents, following manufacturer recommendations and appropriate techniques.
• Complete thorough and accurate wound assessments, documenting all findings in the medical record.
• Confer with the care plan team to develop comprehensive care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our residents.
• Monitor implementation of preventive measures, such as turning/positioning, pressure relief devices, nutrition/hydration measures, and toileting/incontinence care.
• Educate residents and their families on topics concerning nutrition, preventive measures, and wound healing.
• Provide status reports to the Director of Nursing, ensuring seamless communication across our team.

Requirements:
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/RN program.
• Two years of experience as an LPN/RN, with a focus on wound care and skincare.
• Eligibility to participate in federally funded healthcare programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
• Intermediate computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records systems.
