Wheeler Machinery Company is seeking a skilled Power Systems Drafter to join our team. As a Power Systems Drafter, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality drawings and designs for various power generation projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis
- Develop and maintain construction models and drawings
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure drawings meet project requirements
- Estimate material and production costs for designs
- Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers
- Proven experience in drafting and design, preferably in the electric power generation industry
- Strong understanding of design, materials, and fabrication
- Ability to operate CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and BIM software (e.g. Revit by Autodesk)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Minimum four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Understanding of power generation construction projects
- Construction or leadership background
- Sound understanding of and experience drafting electrical and mechanical systems
