Sign Language Interpreter Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sign Language Interpreter to provide 1:1 support for a high school student. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a student's academic experience by facilitating communication between the student, teachers, and peers in a high school environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation for a high school student throughout the school day.
- Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and other school-related activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and school administration to ensure the student has access to the full curriculum.
- Assist with note-taking or other classroom support tasks when appropriate.
- Foster an inclusive and accessible learning environment for the student.
- Certification in American Sign Language (ASL) and fluency in ASL.
- EIPA Score of 3.5 or higher.
- Previous experience as an interpreter in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and adaptability.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, educators, and support staff.
- Understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries in a school environment.
