At the City of Dickinson in North Dakota, we're seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter/EMT to join our team. This rewarding role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about fire suppression, emergency response, and fire prevention duties.

**Estimated Salary:** $53,725 per year

About the Role:

  • Perform fire suppression duties, including search and rescue operations, hazardous materials response, and vehicle extrication.
  • Assist in technical rescue operations and participate in fire prevention activities, inspections, and public safety efforts.
  • Collaborate with other firefighters and paramedics in high-stress, emergency situations.
  • Maintain firefighting equipment, EMS gear, and fire department facilities.
  • Conduct hydrant testing and collaborate with city utilities on fire safety initiatives.
  • Complete detailed reports on patient care and fire incidents.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid North Dakota Driver's License is essential.
  • Candidates must obtain specific certifications within one year of hire, including ProBoard/IFSAC Fire Fighter I, ProBoard/IFSAC Hazardous Materials Awareness & Operations, National Registry EMT-B, and ND EMT License.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
