We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a strong track record of designing and delivering large-scale IT solutions in enterprise or government settings. You will have the opportunity to lead technical teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to achieve program goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee the implementation of software and IT solutions that align with client requirements and long-term mission objectives.
  • Develop detailed system architectures that meet both functional and technical requirements, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into actionable system designs and architectures.
  • Ensure that all solutions align with mission objectives, project regulations, and DoD standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development, integration, and deployment of solutions, ensuring seamless interoperability of all components.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineering, development, and operations teams, ensuring solutions are implemented securely and efficiently.
  • Monitor system performance, identifying areas for optimization to improve efficiency and meet evolving project demands.
  • Recommend and implement architectural adjustments to enhance reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on the status of solution development, identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Document and communicate architectural decisions to ensure transparency and alignment across the program.
  • Ensure all architectural designs and implementations adhere to DoD regulations, including DISA STIG, NIST 800-53, and RMF.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate security controls and best practices into all solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies to recommend improvements and innovations that enhance project outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new tools and approaches to advance program capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or TOGAF Certification.
  • 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, system design, or related roles, with a focus on large-scale IT environments.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering secure, scalable, and compliant IT solutions in enterprise or government settings.
  • Expertise in architectural frameworks, such as TOGAF or Zachman, and system integration methodologies.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Must possess a Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to achieve program goals.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Priorities:

  • Familiarity with USSOCOM's operational requirements and the SOF Information Environment (SIE).
  • Previous experience in designing solutions for DoD programs with stringent compliance and security requirements.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture, serverless computing, and AI/ML integration.
