Produce Clerk

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Clerk to join our team at Kroger. As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and assisting with the preparation of produce platters and trays.

• Customer Service: Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service, acknowledging, assisting, and appreciating our customers.
• Produce Knowledge: Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products.
• Merchandise Preparation: Adequately prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise, including produce platters and trays.
• Store Maintenance: Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
• Safety and Security: Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying store management.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Comparable retail experience preferred.
• Skills: Effective communication skills, knowledge of basic math, and ability to handle stressful situations.
• Certifications: Current food handlers permit required.
