Position Overview

As a key member of our team at Day Wireless Systems, the Wireless Communications Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of advanced radio systems. This role is essential in ensuring seamless communication across various platforms.

Job Details

Location: Yakima, WA
Compensation: $36.00 per hour, based on experience
Travel Requirements: Up to 50%
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in two-way radio systems.
  • Relevant certifications such as FCC GROL, CET, and/or CGT are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in interpreting schematics, block diagrams, and flow charts for the maintenance and repair of electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to wireless communication equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to repair equipment, including dispatch consoles and trunked radio systems.
  • Monitor and report on Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems.
  • Maintain RF, paging, microwave, and Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS).
  • Install radio and wireless communication systems according to industry standards.
