About the Role: As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the management discipline. Your expertise and experience will be valuable assets to our academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach at least one of the following courses: Strategic Management, Principles of Management, Leadership, Negotiations, Human Resource Management, or other courses in the discipline as needed.
  • Develop and deliver engaging course materials, assessments, and evaluations.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in the management discipline.

Requirements:

  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or MS in a field closely related to management; or a Bachelor degree in a field closely related to management and relevant work experience in an area related to the course being taught.
  • Strong oral presentation and communication skills.
  • Significant and substantive professional business experience in an area related to the course being taught.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Management or a closely related discipline (e.g., human resources, industrial/organizational psychology) at the time the appointment begins.
  • Prior teaching experience is particularly welcome.
