As a Registered Nurse with Christus Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and education in wound care and ostomy management. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for patients with complex wound care needs, including ostomies, fistulas, and draining wounds.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on wound care and ostomy management, including proper wound care techniques, ostomy care, and skin integrity.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and promote best practices in wound care and ostomy management.
- Develop and maintain expertise in wound care and ostomy management through ongoing education and training.
- Current RN license in the state of Texas.
- Two or more years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse with wound care and emergency room or critical care experience preferred.
- Wound Care certification or in progress.
- CPR (American Heart Association) certification.
