About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Nursing Unit Leader to join our Post Surgical Division at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care services, mentoring caregivers, and facilitating transitions throughout the acute care stay.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and plan administrative management, financial, and operational duties in collaboration with nursing supervisors and administrators.
  • Mentor professional caregivers in delivering high-quality patient care and facilitate effective communication and transitions.
  • Provide leadership for direct patient care staff on assigned shifts, ensuring competent and compassionate care is provided to all customers.
  • Support the development and implementation of policies, programs, and services aligned with hospital mission and departmental vision.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment is essential, along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance.

This role requires off-shift and weekend coverage, with occasional access to sensitive information including HIPAA Protected Health Information. You must adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and ensure that access to information is based on a 'need-to-know' principle.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
