About the Position

The University of Miami's Department of Psychology is seeking a full-time staff psychologist to join the Autism Spectrum Assessment Clinic (ASAC) team. As a staff psychologist, you will conduct comprehensive psychological services, including assessment, intervention, and consultation, for clients at ASAC offices throughout Miami-Dade County.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for clients with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including therapeutic services and educational recommendations
  • Provide clinical supervision to doctoral student trainees and consultation to CARD specialists and other community professionals
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary evaluation teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology
  • Licensed or license-eligible to practice in the State of Florida
  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience
  • Skilled in the assessment of autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders using evidence-based practices and diagnostic tools
  • Experience working with children and families
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual English-Spanish skills
  • Prior clinical experience in a teaching institution or service setting
  • Experience as a clinical supervisor
