Electrical Engineering Internship Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented electrical engineering student to join our Field Engineering Test organization as a summer intern.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced field engineers and supervisors to gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and commissioning protection and control schemes and electrical power apparatus associated with the Bulk Electric System and Distribution System.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Calibration and repair of test equipment such as power system simulators used to maintain relay systems required for regulatory compliance
  • Reviewing test equipment inventory and managing repairs with original equipment manufacturers
  • Shadowing field engineers and supervision in the field conducting relay maintenance, troubleshooting, and construction commissioning activities in substations
  • Assisting with relay setting tracking process for field implementation based on priority to focus process improvement

This internship will provide you with valuable experience and skills in electrical engineering, as well as the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
