Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder in Montgomery, AL. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Perform remote triage to assist roadside breakdowns
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Coach and mentor other technicians on maintenance repair procedures and diagnostics
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
