About the Role:

The Center for Global Engagement at James Madison University is seeking a dynamic individual to develop and implement international recruitment strategies and support admission operations that will enhance overall international students' enrollment at JMU.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement international recruitment strategies in collaboration with Undergraduate Admissions, The Graduate School, and Marketing
  • Coordinate and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies for JMU
  • Provide information and guidance on immigration visa requirements, housing, health insurance, and academics
  • Manage recruiting visits to targeted international student markets and primary partners
  • Manage communications to prospective international students, sponsors, and recruitment agencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Project management experience
  • Understanding of the international student experience and a passion for international education
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse cultures
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel internationally, in-state, and out-of-state

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Experience in a post-secondary institution in recruitment or admissions
  • Five years of work experience in a related setting
  • Knowledge of SEVIS
  • Experience developing student journeys with a CRM
  • Knowledge of admission requirements and international credential evaluation
  • Experience in an International Student Services office
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages
