Semen Sexing Laboratory Technician

As a Semen Sexing Laboratory Technician with the URUS Group, you will play a critical role in the sorting and evaluation of semen for cattle breeders. Your primary responsibilities will include operating semen sexing machines, assisting with Revere Sorts, and maintaining laboratory equipment. You will also be responsible for evaluating fresh ejaculates for sorting, assisting with media preparation and material sterilization, and loading semen for shipping. Additionally, you will be required to keep records and compile reports, follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and maintain a clean and disinfected laboratory environment.

Requirements
  • 2 or 4-year science-related degree preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a freezing environment (40 °F) for short periods of time (up to 30 minutes)
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
  • Attention to detail
