The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design of electrode assemblies and complex cell sub-assemblies, developing functional requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams, and performing hands-on prototyping and testing. They will also be responsible for releasing designs consistent with company and team best practices, demonstrating design functionality through analysis and testing, and working with vendors and manufacturing engineers to transition designs from prototype to high-volume production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design of electrode assemblies and complex cell sub-assemblies

  • Perform hands-on prototyping and testing

  • Demonstrate design functionality through analysis and testing
  • Work with vendors and manufacturing engineers to transition designs from prototype to high-volume production
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of industry experience in mechanical design, with a focus on electrode design and development
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD), specifically SolidWorks modeling and drafting
  • Experience with prototyping techniques and working in a machine shop environment
  • Familiarity with mechanical verification testing
  • Experience as a design lead or program lead on a team of Mechanical Engineers
