The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant plays a vital role in providing skilled therapy treatments to patients in their homes under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist. This is a Full-Time position with a competitive salary.
About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at AlphaCare Home Health Corp. As a member of our care team, you will be responsible for implementing physical therapy services according to the treatment plan, treating patients to relieve pain and restore function using appropriate therapy techniques, and monitoring patient progress.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient, working closely with the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure effective care delivery.
- Patient Education and Support: Educate patients and caregivers on proper techniques and strategies for maintaining independence and managing symptoms.
- Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly assess patient progress, documenting and reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Clinical Notes and Progress Reports: Maintain accurate and detailed clinical notes and progress reports, ensuring seamless communication among healthcare team members.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Licensure and Certification: Possess current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant, registered or certified by the state of practice.
- Education and Training: Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program or equivalent.
- Professional Development: Stay current with industry trends, participate in continuing education programs, and adhere to best practices in physical therapy care.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Communication and Equipment Operation: Ability to effectively communicate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members, and operate necessary equipment.
- Sufficient Mobility: Sufficient mobility to perform duties and travel to patient homes, potentially navigating varied environments.
Salary and Benefits
This per-Diem position offers a competitive hourly rate, mileage reimbursement, and parking reimbursement. Estimated hourly pay: $52.50.
