This role is ideal for a leader who's passionate about shaping a product with immense potential, directly supporting Gusto's mission, strengthening our People Platform, and establishing Gusto as a trusted partner from day one of our customers' journey.

About the Team:

The Entity Management team develops and maintains tools that help small businesses navigate the entire lifecycle of their legal and compliance needs, including incorporation. We support business owners from the initial step of getting their company incorporated to ongoing compliance, account monitoring, and dissolution if needed. Our team aims to simplify and automate complex processes, enabling business owners to focus on growth without worrying about government regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture on the team
  • Regularly conduct 1:1s with team members to support their continued growth and learning
  • Collaborate with product management and design teams to define problem spaces, work on solutions, and lead technical projects from planning to delivery
  • Manage dependencies and timelines across teams
  • Effectively manage complexity, stakeholder communication, and expectation setting
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of engineering management experience
  • Experience in building scalable roles and permissioning into a product platform
  • Experience in empowering and nurturing technical teams and engineers
  • Experience in leading large scope cross-functional projects and driving business growth
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $191,000 and $237,000 in Denver and most remote locations, and $225,000 and $279,000 for San Francisco and New York. Stock equity is additional. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as candidate experience and expertise.

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees based in those locations will work from the office approximately 2-3 days per week. When approved to work remotely, a secure internet connection is required.

We welcome diverse candidates who share our values and enthusiasm for small businesses. If you're passionate about creating a seamless experience for business owners, you'll find a home at Gusto.

Gusto is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
