About the Role

Austin Habitat for Humanity ReStore is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Part-Time Cashier to join our team. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, and working collaboratively with our team to achieve sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering customer questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers
  • Work collaboratively with the sales floor team to achieve sales goals and meet customer needs
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and other payment methods
  • Assist with visual merchandising, including displaying merchandise and maintaining store displays
  • Participate in inventory management, including receiving and processing donations, and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including data entry, phone answering, and general administrative tasks
Requirements
  • Experience in cash handling and customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
