Critical Care Veterinary Technician

Job Summary:
Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Critical Care team in a fast-paced ER/Specialty care setting. As a Veterinary Technician in our Critical Care department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our experienced veterinarians, and contributing to a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with veterinarians in the ER and ICU on patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
- Perform nursing care for critical cases, consistently evaluating patients and maintaining detailed medical records and charts.
- Utilize different modalities of imaging for patient assessment, execute, monitor, and recover assigned sedation and anesthetic events, and assist with minor surgical procedures.
- Place IV catheters, urinary catheters, and central lines, and obtain and process laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates.
- Advocate for patient and client care at all times, communicating with clients for hospital updates, rechecks, reviewing test results, financial updates, and general questions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in an ER/Specialty care setting.
- CVT or VTS preferred but not required.
