Orthopaedic Surgeon

The Department of Orthopaedics and Physical Medicine at MUSC Health & Medical University of SC is seeking a highly skilled Total Joint Reconstruction Physician to join our faculty as a member of our total joint division. This esteemed position will play a vital role in supporting the department's missions in clinical, research, and teaching responsibilities. The successful candidate will increase patient access to our orthopaedic total joint patient population while enhancing their surgical conversion rate per clinical appointment. Strategically, the orthopaedic total joint reconstruction physician will travel to our ambulatory and outreach clinics in South Carolina, contributing to the department's comprehensive range of musculoskeletal services.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess a robust clinical background, a sincere interest in education and research, and experience in teaching. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing patient access to our orthopaedic total joint patient population, enhancing their surgical conversion rate per clinical appointment, and contributing to the department's comprehensive range of musculoskeletal services. The physician will also be expected to participate in clinical, research, and teaching activities, and to travel to our ambulatory and outreach clinics in South Carolina.
Requirements
The preferred candidate will hold an M.D. or equivalent degree and have a strong clinical background. The ideal candidate will also have a sincere interest in education and research, and experience in teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and to be able to work effectively in a team environment. The physician will also be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and to adhere to the department's policies and procedures.
