Speech Language Pathologist PRN Opportunity

CommuniCare Rehab, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, has a PRN opening for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Pleasant Valley Healthcare Center, where our therapists are In-House Team Members.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact with our residents through therapy. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, review, and screen patient's/resident's medical charts, develop a treatment plan in accordance with patient's needs, and plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communication, swallowing, and/or cognitive problems.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient's/resident's medical charts and develop a treatment plan in accordance with patient's needs.
  • Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communication, swallowing, and/or cognitive problems.
  • Instruct residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills, diet recommendations, and modifications for safe swallowing techniques.
  • Attend interdisciplinary meetings to relay clinical findings and make recommendations to other members of the rehab team.

Qualifications
  • Must have a Bachelor's and/or a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an Accredited Program.
  • Hold a valid or pending State Speech Language Pathology License.
