About the Role
The Behavioral MHT will work closely with the Program Director/Manager and Unit Charge Nurse to provide safe and effective patient care. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide safe and effective patient care under the direction of the Program Director/Manager and Unit Charge Nurse.
* Participate in direct patient care and provide a safe and therapeutic environment for patients/residents through the use of effective HWC, CPR and S/R techniques.
* Mentor new hires and students in unit routines.
* Perform administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications
* Must be at least 21 years of age per Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services.
* Must have patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
* Good communication skills; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
* Basic clerical skills, basic experience with office equipment (telephone, copy machine, fax, etc.) Computer skills helpful.
