Healthcare Services Group is currently seeking a dedicated Floor Care Technician to maintain cleanliness and safety in educational facilities. This role is essential for ensuring that floors are well-kept and meet the highest standards of hygiene and appearance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive floor maintenance tasks including dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, and extraction.
- Utilize appropriate protective gear during all cleaning activities.
- Adhere to established guidelines to meet quality standards and safety protocols.
- Complete assigned cleaning tasks in a timely manner according to the schedule.
- Report any equipment or cleaning product needs to the supervisor promptly.
- Safely mix and use cleaning solutions while following all safety precautions.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling appropriately.
- Engage in physical activities such as lifting, pushing, and bending as required for the role.
- Apply floor stripper and refinish floors with new wax products.
- Maintain a positive representation of the company while interacting with staff and clients.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles, particularly in educational settings, is advantageous. A minimum of 1.5 years of experience in floor care is preferred, though on-site training will be provided.
Skills and Abilities- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions effectively.
- Strong cooperation skills with co-workers and staff.
- Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
- Capability to work independently after training, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Physical stamina to be on your feet for 6-8 hours daily, with the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Compliance with all health and safety regulations, including COVID-19 vaccination policies.
