Job Summary:

Foster Farms is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Tech to join our team. As a Refrigeration Tech, you will be responsible for the repair, installation, and adjustment of all refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate safely and efficiently the ammonia refrigeration system and related equipment according to the plant Process Safety Management Program.
  • Perform routine maintenance on ammonia compressors, air system drying equipment, and air system controls.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, USDA, HACCP, and plant rules and regulations.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in refrigeration equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of shop mathematics and ability to interpret drawings.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

The Refrigeration Tech will work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to ammonia and other chemicals. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
