Job Title: Associate Producer I

ESPN is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Producer I to contribute to the creative development of production content extensions on all platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of technology, social media, and leadership to drive content and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the production of assigned video elements, ensuring high-quality output and timely delivery.
  • Integrate visual elements into assignments to drive show content, leveraging creative concepts and ideas.
  • Research and gather news, facts, and video for assigned productions, preparing story ideas for future productions.
  • Conduct research in video archives to obtain material for assigned production elements, staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Participate in idea generation during show meetings for assigned projects and specialty elements, collaborating with team members.
  • Contribute creative concepts for studio show elements and non-linear TV platforms, driving innovation and engagement.
  • Manage projects from conception to execution, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality output.
  • Collaborate with editors in the production of high-end video elements in AVID and QEP edit facilities, leveraging technical expertise.
  • Produce ENG field shoots, including interviews, basic art direction, and specialty shoots, capturing high-quality content.
  • Produce assigned segments with guests or analysts in studio shows, ensuring engaging and informative content.
  • Highlight produce for all ACC sports for all three seasons of ACC sports, showcasing expertise and knowledge.
  • Provide direction and feedback to Production Assistant and Content Associates on assigned shows, fostering growth and development.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of production processes for studio shows and live events, applying expertise to drive results.
  • Apply considerable experience in conducting complex processes and procedures in studio show production, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Apply considerable knowledge of story ideas and concepts for teases, original features, analysis clips, specialty elements, and features fed in from reporters and producers in the field.
  • Apply considerable knowledge of special animation elements for assigned productions, leveraging creativity and expertise.
  • Stay up-to-date with technological and social media advances relative to studio shows, applying knowledge to drive innovation.
  • Demonstrate strong mastery of sports and sports history, applying expertise to drive content and engagement.
  • Exhibit strong writing skills, communicating effectively and clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years' television production experience, applying expertise and knowledge to drive results.
Required Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and training.
Preferred Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, applying knowledge and expertise to drive results.
Additional Information:
  • This position is based on ESPN's Bristol campus, with occasional remote work, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
