Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and customer service. Our pharmacy technicians are the face of our company, interacting with customers and developing strong relationships with our patients.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician. In this role, you will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, processing transactions, and providing customer service.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care and customer service. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through our comprehensive training program.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, processing transactions, and providing customer service.
  • Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and patients, including identifying their needs and providing solutions.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist.
Requirements:
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills to accurately fill prescriptions.
  • Prefer good computer skills to operate pharmacy systems.
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Prefer PTCB certification.
